Caffe Amma officially opened it’s doors to Wilmslow this morning, however, a select few were lucky enough to be invited to attend the official champagne launch last night,  followed by a private party in the exclusive Revolution bar nearby.

Crowds gathered at the launch party last night, where they were given the opportunity to explore the stunning interior and take full advantage of the large outside seating area which we are sure will be a big hit this summer.  We have been delighted to be part of bringing Café AMMA’s life long ambition to fruition, and are positive that the overall product reflects the hardwork and dedication of all those involved.

A reporter from wilmslow.co.uk, an online news site, attended last night to interview the client and design team and has written a report which can be seen online.

We are hoping to get some photographs of the finished project uploaded to our portfolio shortly, so watch this space!!

We were delighted on being commissioned, by a prestigious Aberdeen based client, to assist in the design of their newly constructed pool house in the grounds of their highland residence. The private pool house accommodates a 25-metre swimming pool and hydro spa pool, along with foot spas, and a walk-in sauna and separate steam room. There has also been provision made for male and female changing facilities, treatment rooms and a gymnasium, which is situated on a glazed mezzanine level overlooking the pool.

All of the finishes we specified were of a high standard, including a state of the art vaulted stretched ceiling over the pool, contemporary mood lighting and the use of Villeroy and Boch porcelain wall and feature tiles, to ensure the final quality of the project reflects the hard work and dedication of all those involved. A selection of locally sourced stone was also specified to highlight a feature wall at the top of the pool hall in order to link the architecture of the external building to the interior styling.

An article featuring this was published in February’s edition of Swimming Pool News. Check this out on page 17!  There are also some  images of this project on our pools portfolio section.

We have recently submitted a planning application for a contemporary extension to a private Victorian house in Stockton Heath, of which an article has been published in Warrington Worldwide Magazine.
The substantial extension will be added to the existing 3-storey dwelling, making a stylish architectural statement that compliments the existing property and enhances the character of the road.
The extension will accommodate an improved and more accessible fashionable large open plan living/dining space, as well as a lavish master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, creating a sustainable luxurious family home. DV8 have made the most of the beautiful private garden, with full height bi-fold doors expanding the living area into the outside.

We’ve recently completed the refurbishment of Pierpoint and Bryant Social in Warrington, giving the concert room a complete  overhaul providing a new, fresh, up-to-date feel, making it user-friendly for its existing and potential users. It’s been featured on Warrington Worldwide’s website, giving some good publicity to DV8!!

Following the transformation success of Copley and Ashton Leisure Centre’s, a third site in Tameside to undergo a full refurbishment was Hyde Leisure Pool. Once again, DV8 Designs worked closely with Pulse Fitness and Tameside Sports Trust in delivering an exceptional solution for a state of the art leisure centre.

The challenging hexagonal building proved a challenge for the design team. However by adding upper level floor space, the correct mix of leisure activities have been successfully introduced, including a new 50 station gym, dance studio, wet and dry change, thermal suite, front entrance and air-conditioned café spectators area.

Another collaboration between DV8 Designs, Pulse Fitness and Tameside Sports Trust has resulted in Ashton Leisure Centre, which was given a radical overhaul to transform it into a state of the art leisure facility. The exterior of the building was given a facelift, with a futuristic looking entrance creating a focal point to draw people into the building. Internally, the spa, gym, fitness rooms, changing facilities and reception area were all renovated to a high standard. Design features include a keyhole stairway in the gym, mosaic snail shower in the spa, atmospheric mood lighting in the thermal suite and bold, energizing colours throughout the fitness areas.

After the success of The Park Leisure Centre’s refurbishment programme DV8 Designs were appointed to work alongside Tameside Sports Trust and Pulse Fitness on a complete refurbishment of the local leisure centre in Stalybridge, Manchester. The new fit out, which was phased to enable the adjacent school to continue to use the facilities, encompasses a state of the art Pulse Fitness gym and aerobics studio, thermal suite and changing facilities, reception, cafe bar and school and village change to serve the swimming pool.

DV8 Designs worked closely with Pulse Fitness and Barrow Council on the refurbishment of this local leisure centre. The scheme comprised of new fitness suite, youth gym, aerobics studio and changing facilities, as well as new reception, cafe bar and office accommodation. Following the success of this scheme DV8 have been commissioned to design the remaining changing facilities in the main pool areas.

DV8 Designs have completed site master planning for a large property developer in the UK. The brief for this site on the outskirts of Manchester was to achieve a specified mix of standard portfolio of properties, which were outlined by the developer.

DV8 Designs are responsible for the sympathetic, tasteful refurbishment of a Cheshire Golf Club that reflects upon the members expectations and tastes. DV8 have designed sophisticated interiors for the function room that will attract new clientele to the club as well as
providing sumptuous surroundings for the existing members. The changes to the clubhouse bar completely transform the look and feel of the room. New lighting, fabrics, decoration, furniture and fittings are modern yet enduring. The refurbishment contract is due to complete in 2010.
