DV8 Designs were commissioned in early 2018 to redesign the reception and lobby area for the prestigious Grade II* listed Cunard Building, one of Liverpool’s Three Graces which create the well-loved waterfront skyline.

Working alongside Liverpool Council and appointed conservation officers, our brief was to design a new reception counter and soft seating area that would bring the space to life while still tying in with the buildings grand character.

The Cunard Building was completed in 1917 and exhibits classic Art Deco features from which we drew our inspiration. Our design focuses on the use of marble with brushed bronze details, and luxury seating in a rich palate to complement the existing interior.

The finished design will be completed in spring 2019 and we can’t wait to see our ideas become a part of Liverpool’s history.
