We are proud to announce that The Hesketh in Cheadle Hulme is complete and reopened for business! Working alongside The Almond Pub Group, this 1860’s local community pub was in need for a ‘sparkle’ to update its traditionally charming interior. Formally known as ‘The Hesketh Tavern’, this pub and carvery is a functional, family friendly favourite in the area. The client had asked us at DV8 Designs to sympathetically renovate the venue to reflect its heritage. To do this, we re-considered the flow and layout forming more comfortable areas on arrival and around the bar area. A key element when re-designing the site will be its leading entrance, which is where we have extended the lobby area and formed a Pergola to entice and make a much more welcoming and attractive space. This ensures that customers enjoy the impressive design elements of the pub from the moment they arrive. The re-design features used worn leathers contrasted against wools to soften the overall aesthetic and retain a welcoming family vibe to reflect the theme inspired traditional London pubs. An earthy colour scheme runs throughout to keep in line with the venue’s warmth and cosiness. Key furnishing elements include wing-back arm chairs and rubbed back painted timbers to form the country pub’s intimate characteristics. The external areas also received a modernisation through creating a more functional garden drinking space, with new flagging, balustrade and planting.
