Turing Tap, Manchester
Working alongside Stonegate Pub Company and Myriad Contracts, this is one of our recently completed jobs in Manchester! Previously known as The Oxford on Oxford Road, it sits just outside the City Centre in the heart of the university area, popular with locals, students, workers and music-lovers. Providing cask ales and vast selection of whiskeys, this is a true community hub.
The aim for the re-design was to give the pub a refresh that will please the existing customers as well as accommodating for new ones. We provided our services across the four floor building, with two sets of toilets and two trading areas. Our design was predominantly to have an industrial feel, with the use of rubbed back timber to enhance the authentic design, we also utilised the existing timber panelling and re-modelling the two existing bars which became the focal point within the design.
Including new timber and tiled flooring and a remodel of the layout, we introduced new furniture, such as wingback armchairs and fixed seating for that extra spot of comfort, and mixed it in with the existing furniture which brings an eclectic touch to the scheme. Along with the use of worn leathers, patterned and textured fabrics, this really pulled the design together as a whole.
