DV8 Designs were appointed to design the Tank & Paddle in York, a Grade II listed former merchants building overlooking the scenic River Ouse. Due to the shape of the building, one of the main aims was to open up the front space to increase visibility to the main bar area from the entrance.
The scheme features eclectic bric-a-brac, aged filament light fittings with brightly coloured reclaimed board cladding and industrial metalwork all to reflect the rebrand. The refurbishment was completed with three copper tanks; two situated on the bar and a feature faux tank in the entrance to give initial visual impact upon arrival.
