The Black Bull, Howarth
We have recently completed The Black Bull in Howarth, a quaint little village pub steeped in history. Working with EI Group and WHB Construction, we refurbished the existing site, introducing new colours, fabrics, furniture and lighting to create an eclectic and homely feel.
We focused the bric a brac around the Brontë family. The Brontë sisters wrote their novels in the Parsonage behind the pub, while their father was the Vicar at the church next door. Most notably, the pub was frequented by Patrick Branwell Brontë - brother of the famous three sisters. The pub itself still houses "Branwell’s Chair" – The famous favourite chair used by Branwell during his many visits to the pub!
