DV8 Designs have recently completed The Spitfire Pub & Kitchen, Ainsdale.

We were appointed by EI Group to refurbish an existing site in Ainsdale into a family friendly pub which has been re-branded as The Spitfire Pub & Kitchen in a nod to the significance of the aircraft’s World War II past at nearby RAF Woodvale.

Working with WHB Construction, we created a rural and homely scheme with an eclectic twist through refurbishment and decoration of the existing space, including a new scheme for the toilets. We also made modifications to the existing conservatory and added a new outdoor decking area.

The new scheme features Industrial lighting and bric-a-brac which was influenced by the area’s connection with aviation. This is contrasted with pops of colour, floral patterns and fringed hems to create a unique pub design that we are really happy with and has proved popular with the locals!
