We’re looking for someone that has a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience working in the commercial design industry, specifically high-end hospitality/office/commercial interior projects.

You’ll be a key member of the management team, a self-starter with a strong work ethic and bundles of ambition. Someone that’s keen to learn and progress. Super organised and confident in communication with clients and prospects. You’ll be able to work on your own initiative, able to deliver to tight deadlines and focused on every detail.

Here’s some stuff you’ll do:

Work on a variety of projects across the UK (primarily Northwest region) including office, bar, restaurant, hotel and airport lounge schemes with numerous national brands and independent clients
Display an exceptional level of creativity in generating concepts and design schemes for all assigned projects
Produce detailed drawing packs, mood boards and 2D/3D floor plans
Onsite surveying
Oversee projects from concept to delivery with onsite visits
Manage and develop client relationships through day-to-day design administration and communication
Support the Company’s business development efforts
Keep ahead of relevant pipeline projects in target regions, and be responsible for lead-generation & all follow-up
Manage relations between contractors, suppliers, and clients
Keeping up to date with industry news and the changing marketplace
Act as a mentor to other staff and to the Company’s creative team as a whole.
Handle multiple tasks and deliver work to deadlines
Able to generate new business in target markets
Build a highly talented creative team to support you in the delivery of the projects
Ensure the profitability of your projects through timely delivery.
Contribute to enhancing the Company’s reputation for the highest quality of creativity and service

Here’s some stuff you’ll need:

A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architectural Technologist
10 years or more of post-grad experience in the office or hospitality design arena
An understanding of Planning and Building Regulations
Strong technical ability – producing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD
Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, across multiple projects and to mentor and guide junior designers along the way.
Experience of project management specifically working within project budgets, timescales
Strong presentation skills and ability to back your own ideas
Well-skilled in Autocad, Sketchup and Photoshop and expertise in all major business software applications (Microsoft Office etc.)
Strong and enthusiastic team player that works well under pressure
Full UK driving licence would be desirable
Eligibility to work within the UK (and a willingness to travel to site UK wide)
