Carrie Oliver – Junior Interior Designer
Carrie graduated with a First Class degree in Interior Design from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2023. After finishing university, she spent some time travelling before joining DV8 last autumn — and she’ll be celebrating six months with the team this May.
Carrie is currently working on Leopold Court (Rochdale Council) and The Boathouse (Parkgate), while also contributing to Aspire drawings and offering wider project support across the studio.
“I love that interior design sits at the intersection of creativity and functionality. I really enjoy figuring out how to make spaces work just as well as they look, and I especially like the problem‑solving side of the role — working within the limitations of existing spaces and turning them into something fresh and considered.
Before joining DV8, I was really drawn to the variety of projects, including more niche work like airport lounges, as well as the opportunity to gain exposure across different sectors. Now that I’ve been here for six months, I’m really enjoying the genuine collaboration across the team and the opportunities I’ve had through close mentorship, which have really supported my development.”
Away from the desk, Carrie enjoys unwinding with a good book.
Josh Allen – Junior Interior Designer
Josh joins DV8 with a background in interior design and luxury interiors, along with experience in the hospitality sector, and holds a First Class Interior Design degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. Since arriving at DV8 Designs, he has hit the ground running and is already contributing to a wide range of projects. He is currently leading design work on the Greene King Hive and Nest projects, while also supporting Aspire Lounge developments. More recently, he has completed work on The Big Tree (Sheffield), Romiley Arms (Stockport), and Offa’s Dyke (Cheshire).
Josh shared:
“I have a strong passion for interior design, driven by creating spaces that are both highly functional and visually compelling. I’ve always been a creative person, and that was really shaped by growing up watching Grand Designs, which sparked my interest in innovative architecture and design. I also enjoy visiting and experiencing well‑designed interiors, as they continue to inspire my own work.
I particularly enjoy developing interiors that are bold and dynamic, while still being thoughtfully tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and vision.
What really appealed to me about joining DV8 was the variety and scale of the projects, both of which align closely with my ambitions in interior design. Being part of a company that’s so well connected within the industry is incredibly motivating, as it offers great exposure and opportunities for professional growth. I’m also drawn to DV8’s focus on creating dynamic, impactful interiors, which strongly reflects my own approach to design.”
We are delighted to have you both part of Team DV8!
