Working alongside Sefton Council, DV8 Designs team have been key in helping to transform and reimagine this prime asset as an enabler to help reinvigorate and regenerate the town. Southport Market opened in 1857. The current building is the second version of the design and retains its classic Victoria form.
The vision for the redesigned venture drew on the influences of Southport’s vibrant seaside history, architecture and gardens to reinforce a strong design intent. It was also important to draw upon successful UK and European food markets alongside a cultural model that that encourages social eating and sharing new experiences.
